This role requires individuals to form sectional steel auger flights using specialized equipment as well as assisting with various other manufacturing functions as required.  This position is an integral part of business operations.  Individuals that excel in this role are not afraid of hard work and are willing to learn to master this skill that is not learned quickly.  Training requires patience and perseverance.

 

This is a day-shift role working 7:00am to 4:30pm comprising a standard 45 hour work-week.

Duties and responsibilities

• Adhere to all company, local, provincial and federal protocol and safety regulations.
• Read and interpret drawings and work process documentation.
• Follow process related instructions, procedures and requirements.
• Operate flight bender.
• Load/unload steel and flighting using cranes and forklifts.
• Perform quality checks on parts throughout the process, and on the finished product.
• Organize finished product as per instruction.
• Maintain general housekeeping in the work area to avoid trip hazards etc.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• 3 to 5 years related work experience in Metal Fabrication.
• Adept in reading, analyzing, communicating and processing documents.
• Human relation skills.
• Valid driver’s license (in good standing)and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds where required.

Starting wage for this role is $24.00 per hour with a review after 3 months. Wage will then be consistently assessed as the job incumbent learns and increases their production output.  Heidelberg Metal Inc. provides a comprehensive company paid benefit package upon completion of the probationary period.
